25. January
Kicksledding World Cup
On the last weekend of January, the winter village of Geilo and Dr. Holms welcomes you to the annual world cup in kicksledding.
Week 8/9
Winter holiday
Winter holidays are almost synonymous with the enjoyment and performance of outdoor sporting activities for both young and old. We can assure you that a winter holiday spent at Dr. Holms delivers on all accounts.
26. April
Skarverennet
Skarverennet is described as spring’s most beautiful adventure. This activity is a skiing race from Finse to Ustaoset which takes place in April every year. Geilo gets very busy this weekend with many Skarverenn participants celebrating a successful skiing adventure.
Week 14
Easter holiday
You can get the ultimate Easter holiday at Dr. Holms in Geilo. The combination of snow and spring sun draws many people to the Easter Mountain to witness the season when winter turns to spring.
August
Helt på Vidda Festivalen
This is the summer´s music festival in Geilo and takes place annually on the last weekend of August. The festival offers outstanding artists and a great atmosphere in a spectacular scenery.
September
Stetten
On the last weekend of September every year, Stetten (a wine tasting event) is held at Geilo and Dr. Holms. The event is a weekend suitable for anyone who enjoys of fine wines and offers several wine tastings and courses for beginners and connoisseurs alike.
October
The Lutefisk Festival
At the end of October each year, Dr. Holms invites lutefisk lovers to a Lutefiskfestivalen at the hotel. Lutefisk is a traditional Nordic seafood dish, often eaten during Christmas time.

Christmas
Christmas time at Dr. Holms in Geilo is very special. The Christmas spirit you find here is beyond comparison to anywhere else. Dr. Holms is beautifully and elegantly decorated in honour of the biggest holiday of them all.

New Year’s Eve
The atmosphere at the hotel on New Year´s Eve is formal and festive. We invite you to our New Year´s banquet, and as a bonus you can experience the beautiful fireworks over Geilo at midnight.
